The 360º The Challenge Gran Canaria 2025 will open registration on March 18

Tejeda will once again be the epicenter of one of the toughest mountain races in the world from November 5 to 9

The race will once again offer discounts for Canarian residents and finishers of past editions, as well as the option of payment in installments of the registration fee  

The tenth edition of the 360º The Challenge Gran Canaria will open registration next Tuesday, March 18. The race, one of the toughest in the world of trail running, will be held from November 5 to 9, 2025, starting and finishing in the municipality of Tejeda, with a special discount on the registration fee for residents of the Canary Islands. Registrations for this challenge will be available from 4:00 p.m. local time through the official race website: www.360thechallenge.com.

Wendy Cruz, director of the 360º The Challenge Gran Canaria, highlights the importance of having Tejeda as the protagonist of the race. “A municipality closely linked to trail running that with events such as the 360º The Challenge or The North Face Transgrancanaria, shows the charms of the municipality to the whole world”, she assures.

The municipality of Tejeda, listed as one of the Most Beautiful Villages of Spain, will be for the fourth consecutive year the epicenter of one of the most demanding races in the world, making the skills of each participant in matters such as navigation -as it is an unmarked route-, sleep management, nutrition or the ability to withstand changing weather conditions.

One of the unique features of this race is that the route is not revealed until ten days before the start of the race. The 2024 edition had 258 kilometers and 12,669 meters of positive elevation gain, crossing several of the municipalities of Gran Canaria. The organization will be revealing in the coming months some details of the race, such as the location of the different life bases, which are the strategic points where participants can stock up on food, drink, device charging areas and rest areas to face the rest of the route.

This last edition of 2024 proclaimed the French Claire Bannwarth queen of the race, winning her fifth consecutive victory in five participations. The women’s podium was completed by Sandra Moreno from Gran Canaria, who achieved her best result ever, and the British Claire Ferguson. In the men’s category, the first classified gave a show at the height of the race, and crowned the Italian Marco Gubert as winner, who won his third title in the 360º The Challenge. Very close to the winner came Frenchman Julien Chorier and Álvaro Santana from Gran Canaria, who achieved an outstanding result in his first participation ever.

 

Discount for Canary Island residents and finishers of previous editions
Once again this year, Canary Island residents will be able to take advantage of a special discount on the registration fee and the option of paying in installments will be offered again for those who wish to do so. Also, participants who have been finishers in any edition of the race will have a discount of 30 euros per edition up to a maximum of four participations.

The 360º The Challenge Gran Canaria is organized by Arista Eventos, with the sponsorship of the Cabildo de Gran Canaria through Turismo de Gran Canaria and the Instituto Insular de Deportes; the Government of the Canary Islands with Promotur – Islas Canarias; Ayuntamiento de Tejeda and Fred. Olsen Express; and the collaboration of the companies Lorenzo González Automoción, Gofio La Piña, Inerza, Emicela and Provital.
