Sandra Moreno is the runner-up of the 360º The Challenge Gran Canaria after more than 73 hours of race

The arrival of the Gran Canarian was especially emotional when she was received by friends, family and students from the Tejeda school

There are still 40 runners to reach the finish line between today and tomorrow Sunday

The 360º The Challenge Gran Canaria is a sea of ​​emotions for runners, family and companions during a race that pushes you to your limits, but that causes an outburst of joy for anyone who is able to cross the finish line in Tejeda.

This is the case of the female runner-up of this 2024 edition. Sandra Moreno from Telde arrived in Tejeda after more than three days and three nights of racing with a time of 73 hours, 8 minutes and 17 seconds. And she did it surrounded by family, friends and students from the Tejeda School, who even accompanied her in the final meters through the urban area of ​​the town cheering her name. The magnificent time she achieved is enough for her to finish also in 23rd place in the general classification.

In addition to Sandra, during the night of Friday more finishers continued to arrive, such as the Irish Eoin Keith, who said that the 360º is the first race he notes in his calendar every year; the French Sylvain Chapais; the Gran Canarian Jonatan Florido or the Dutch Wouter Huitzing, who was next to the head of the race for a good part at the beginning. Between the early hours of Friday and the first hours of Saturday, another 13 runners arrived who hung the finisher medal and will go down in the history of this incredible challenge of self-sufficiency.

The next runner to reach the finish line might be the British Claire Ferguson, who will complete the female podium. Behind her, there are another 39 runners struggling after three nights with hardly any sleep and with more than 200 kilometres in their legs with rain, cold or wind, but they will not give up in their efforts to reach Tejeda before closing time, on Sunday 17th at 2:00 p.m.
