The 360º The Challenge Gran Canaria continues to reveal details of the upcoming edition that will be held from November 13 to 17. After the announcements of the location of the life bases in Santa Lucía, Artenara and Teror, the organization confirms a fourth life base that will be located in Mogán. It will not be the last to be announced, as this year the self-sufficiency race will have a total of five life bases. Meanwhile, the race continues with the open registration process and there are already more than 100 athletes who will challenge the 258 kilometers and 12,669 meters of positive gradient of this ninth edition.

Mogán reinforces its role in the 360º The Challenge Gran Canaria by being the venue for one of the five life bases (the fifth and the exact order of them are still pending to be known). The life base is a strategic point where participants can stock up on food, drink, areas to charge devices and rest to face the rest of the route. Another reason why Mogán will be more prominent in this edition is the presence of prominent runners from the municipality such as José Bordón, third in the general classification and second male runner to cross the finish line in 2024; and Javier Blanco, always among the favourites for victory and Bordón’s teammate in the Mogán team of Kabrankeros.

Luis Becerra, Councillor for Sports of the Mogán Town Council, points out that it is “a pride and pleasure that a test of such importance and value passes through the municipality of Mogán”. “We appreciate the collaboration and support we receive from the clubs of the municipality, which always provide support at that life base,” he says. The councillor also wanted to “wish the best of luck to the Mogan participants who are going to be in this 360º The Challenge Gran Canaria”.

For her part, the director of the 360º The Challenge Gran Canaria, Wendy Cruz, insists on the importance of Mogán for this event as it is one of the municipalities that has been collaborating and supporting this adventure for the longest time: “Mogán is once again involved in the 360º with an admirable logistical deployment”. “It is a luxury to work hand in hand with Luis Becerra and the entire team of the municipal corporation to bring our event to Mogán every year,” she adds.
