Luca Papi will pursue his fifth victory in the 360º The Challenge Gran Canaria

He is the only runner to finish the eight editions of one of the most tough races in the world

The 360º The Challenge Gran Canaria will once again enjoy the talent of Luca Papi, who returns to his favourite event, where he has accumulated four victories: 2017, 2019, 2020 and 2022. The last time he was proclaimed winner, he covered the 272 kilometres of the race in 54 hours with a spectacular final comeback that gave him the final victory. In addition to the first four places in eight editions, he has climbed onto the podium on two other occasions (third in 2018 and 2023) and finished in fourth place in 2021.

The tireless Italian runner based in France also has triumphs in major Ultra-Trail races such as Tor des Glaciers (winner in 2019 and 2021); Échappée Belle – L’intégrale Duo in 2019; Trails de La Brie Des Morin in 2018; Trail Transkarukera Guadeloupe in 2017 and Montagn’hard Ultra Trail in 2015.

In 2024, the most recent events in which he has participated are the 45-kilometer EcoTrail Paris; Trail AZRO NTHOR, a 42-kilometer race held in Algeria where he finished in the top 20; Portugal Ultramarathon of 282 km and the famous Swisspeaks Trail of 660 kilometers and 49,000 meters of positive elevation, where he crossed the finish line after 130 hours in 17th place.

Thanks to the presence of runners of the level of Luca Papi at the 360º The Challenge Gran Canaria 2024, from November 13 to 17 we will experience an exciting 258 kilometers through most of the towns of Gran Canaria. The self-sufficiency race, which will have the starting line in Tejeda, will reveal its course ten days before and once again promises strong emotions in its ninth edition.

The 360º The Challenge Gran Canaria is a test organized by Arista Eventos, with the sponsorship of the Cabildo of Gran Canaria through Turismo de Gran Canaria and the Insular Sports Institute; the Government of the Canary Islands with Promotur – Canary Islands; Tejeda and Fred City Council.
