This was the eighth edition of the 360º The Challenge Gran Canaria 2023, an event that only 25 runners out of the 84 who started the race were able to finish

The eighth edition of the 360º The Challenge Gran Canaria, covering 269 kilometers with over 14,000 meters of positive elevation gain, took place in November 2023 with both the start and finish in Tejeda. After 101 hours of competition, only 25 runners out of the 84 who began the race were able to complete it. The 59 withdrawals recorded in the race (55 men, two women, and the two members of one of the relays) mean that more than 70% of the participants did not finish the race.

Claire Bannwarth led the women’s category and finished second overall, followed by Soňa Kopčoková and Szilvia Lubics. In the men’s category, Claudiu Beletoui claimed victory, followed by José Bordón and Luca Papi. Discover the feats and challenges faced by these brave trail runners, and how the organization and volunteers made this ultra-resistance event possible. A truly incredible race!

The 360º The Challenge Gran Canaria is an event organized by Arista Eventos, sponsored by the Cabildo de Gran Canaria through Tourism of Gran Canaria and Gran Canaria European Island of Sport, the Government of the Canary Islands with Promotur – Canary Islands, Tejeda City Council, and Fred.
